So, (2) and (3) present a possible window of opportunity for the heroes to possibly take control of the gauntlet from Thanos. Assuming they can get control of the gauntlet, it will need to be re-powered up. Whether that means a matter of waiting or something pro-actively can be done to re-power it is not clear.
